- MESSAGE OF THE GOVERNOR

The Socio-Economic Profile of the province of Bulacan is the most important information system at the local level.  It serves as a general reference material for use not only by our planners but also by researchers, students, and the general public who wants to know anything about Bulacan.

This document focuses on the characterization of the socio-economic dimensions of the province of Bulacan for the year specified.  The contents will update us on land information, geography, financial resources, population, education, health, cooperatives, agriculture, trade and industry, infrastructure, tourism, and other compilations of data collected from various agencies and organizations.

With this, I would like to express my sincerest admiration and gratitude to all those who have made the Socio-Economic Profile possible.

Accordingly, credits should be given to the entire national and local government agencies, private sectors, to all the Municipal/City Planning and Development Offices who generously provided all the data requirements, and to the Provincial Planning and Development Office very particularly for accomplishing our SEP.

Thank you.

WILHELMINO M. SY-ALVARADO
